Jordan Love calls out teammates after poor performance in camp
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Jordan Love has been killing it in training camp of late. He’s been on fire in the first few days of camp as he looks to lead the charge for the Packers in his first season as the team’s No. 1 quarterback.

This was not the case on Tuesday, though. The Packers’ defense stood out in practice, which earned the praise of fans and experts alike. The offense, on the other hand, struggled immensely.

Jordan Love ‘very frustrated’ with offense.

Jordan Love wasn’t happy about this at all. In fact, the 24-year-old did not hold back in calling out his teammates for what he deemed as a poor performance from the entire offense as a unit:

It’s very frustrating,” Love said, via Ryan Wood of USA TODAY. “I think we’re all very tired of it. Kudos to the defense, but obviously it’s disappointing as an offense. Collectively, as a whole, it’s definitely an area we need to step up.”

Love isn’t pointing fingers here. He is well aware of the fact that the team’s success on the offensive end will rely heavily on his own performance, and it’s not as if he put in a stellar effort in Tuesday’s practice either.

Be that as it may, what is also clear is that Love’s level of success will be greatly determined by the rest of his teammates. The young QB knows this for a fact, and of course, so do the rest of the Packers.

Jordan Love is also flexing his leadership here. Stepping into the role of Green Bay’s QB1 also requires him to be more vocal. This includes calling a spade a spade when necessary. This recent call-out might not sit well with some of his teammates, but at the end of the day, this is exactly what Jordan Love needs to do if he wants to earn the full respect of the squad.
