Green Bay Packers Bring Back Much-Needed Linebacker
Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers have demonstrated their commitment to continuity by re-signing several key players from last season’s roster in free agency.

Among those returning are cornerback Keisean Nixon, running back A.J. Dillon, cornerback Corey Ballentine, tight end Tyler Davis, and cornerback Robert Rochell.

While the Packers have made significant moves in free agency, such as acquiring Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney, they also recognize the importance of retaining players who contributed to their playoff run.

On Thursday, the Packers solidified their roster further by re-signing linebacker Eric Wilson, who took to Instagram to share his excitement, stating, “Another year with the pack !! LET’S GO.”

Wilson, 29, recently completed his second season with the Packers, during which he recorded 31 combined tackles and a quarterback hit.

Known for his contributions on special teams, the 6-foot-1 linebacker has played 60 and 72 percent of special teams snaps in his two years with the team. Additionally, Wilson provides valuable linebacker depth, particularly with the departure of De’Vondre Campbell from the roster.

This is a great move for the Green Bay Packers. Eric Wilson will be in line for a much bigger role in 2024.
