Lazio president Claudio Lotito is already beginning to doubt the work of Igor Tudor, leaving the new manager’s project at risk.

The Biancocelesti were riding a three-match winning risk ahead of their away encounter against Monza, but Milan Djuric’s last-gasp header put this positive streak to bed, forcing the capital side to settle for a 2-2 draw. Many considered this result the final nail in the coffin of Lazio’s Champions League hopes. I

This morning, Il Corriere dello Sport depicted a gloomy image when describing the atmosphere at the club. The Roman-based newspaper believes Lotito is already beginning to question Tudor’s work at the club.

As the source explains, Daichi Kamada is the only player who has improved following the Croatian’s appointment in March. On the other hand, several of his teammates have been enduring a difficult period. For instance, Matteo Guendouzi isn’t happy while Gustav Isaksen and Nicolo Rovella are no longer playing.

Moreover, Mattia Zaccagni has been serving as a wingback, and his exit in the middle of the first half on Saturday raised many eyebrows. The manager attributed his decision to the red-card risk, but the 28-year-old displayed his anger and frustration in the dugout, as the cracks in Tudor’s team management are becoming increasingly evident.

So as the source tells it, the Croatian doesn’t have a squad capable of interpreting his ideas of football, which is why he’ll be pushing for a summer revamp. Therefore, Lotito is now reportedly reflecting on the situation, as changing the technical staff could be less expensive, and perhaps less risky, than a squad revolution. The 46-year-old’s contract with the Biancocelesti is valid until the summer of 2025.
