Joshua Zirkzee was asked about his future at the Imola Formula One GP qualifying event today and it would be fair to say the Bologna striker did not want to give much away.

Zirkzee has been at the centre of attention lately, following a break-out season for the Dutchman with the Rossoblu. We recently reported – as we have been doing for some time – that he is the number one target for the attack and that talks are ongoing on multiple fronts.

Back in November, we reported on Substack that Milan had sent scouts to watch Zirkzee in action on several occasions. The interest has always been concrete, and the management have also reached out to Bayern Munich to get a better understanding of their intentions and their buy-back clause.

Zirkzee was present at the qualifying session for the Imola Formula One GP and has spoke to Sky. He was asked if he can imagine playing in the Champions League with Bologna next season, with his comments relayed by PianetaMilan.

“Will I play the Champions League with my team? Erm, as far as I know, yes. But I can’t say anything. In the meantime, let’s think about finishing the season well, then we’ll return from holidays and see what happens,” he said.
