Brentford have been boosted by the news that veteran defender Ben Mee has signed a new one-year contract.
The centre half, who has played 58 times for the club since signing July 2022, has been nearly ever present last term.
While he has only played 18 times this season, Mee will be hoping that he can get more game time in the coming campaign.
Ben was a really good signing in the summer of 2022," said Brentford director of football Phil Giles.
He was exactly what we needed at that point and deserved the accolades he got in his first season with us.
He was unlucky with injuries last season but has been recovering well from the season-ending injury he got at West Ham, so we expect him to be taking part in pre-season one way or another.
He is an important and popular member of the squad, so I'm really pleased he is with us next season too."
